How my journey began
Hi, I’m Tanji.
Therapist. Soul-searcher. Home Grown.
Becoming a therapist wasn’t just a career choice for me — it was a calling. For years, I carried my own experiences of navigating hardship, service, and the search for meaning. Along the way, I saw how many people quietly shoulder heavy burdens: trauma that lingers, family patterns that feel impossible to break, or the quiet exhaustion of always putting others first.
I decided to become a therapist because I believe no one should have to carry those weights alone. My purpose is to walk alongside people as they heal, reconnect with themselves, and discover that resilience is already inside them.
I’ve worked with veterans, first responders, teens, and adults from many walks of life. What I’ve learned is this: every story is unique, but the need for compassion, connection, and hope is universal. My approach is grounded, direct, and trauma-informed — blending evidence-based practices with the belief that healing happens best in safe, supportive relationships.
Outside of session, I find grounding in the same things I encourage for my clients: spending time in nature, lifting weights, and connecting with community. These aren’t just hobbies — they’re reminders that growth and renewal are possible, even after life’s hardest seasons.
At its core, my work is about purpose. For me, that purpose is helping you move from surviving to thriving, from carrying old patterns to building new ones, from pain into possibility.
